For this week's
#FolkloreThursday, I bring you the Wisht Hounds
Considered a form of the Wild Hunt, this spectral pack of hounds is sometimes seen bounding across the remote moors of Cornwall and Dartmoor.
Unlike other Wild Hunts, this one is said to be led by Sir Francis Drake! pic.twitter.com/60O1LooRlJ
Rowan berries bring a bit of
#colour to the moor in #autumn
Rowans can live for 200 years and the berries are a source of food for many birds. They are a favourite of redwings and fieldfares, and these winter visitors will soon be migrating south from Iceland and Scandinavia.pic.twitter.com/12Xvt8PS2y
I so wish I was healthy enough to be there, but I'm cheering you on from Dartmoor. I know it will be amazing, inspiring, and transformative!
Please help, we lost our little dog Tesla on Dartmoor near Rippon Tor yesterday evening. He is a small cream Zuchon wearing dark green harness and blue collar. He is micro chipped. 2 years old friendly but shy. We are very worried and upset. Lovely llttle chap. Please call pic.twitter.com/DMDCiG5Ws4
